Washington Post’s Free and Easy 3/19-25

The Cherry Blossom Festival officially starts this week, and the Washington Post’s recommended free event for Saturday, 3/24 is a day of related activities at the Freer and Sackler Galleries. Other recommended museum events are the opening of a new work illuminating the exterior of the Hirshhorn on Thursday, 3/22 (with a talk by the artist); and the closing of the Print by Print exhibit at the Baltimore Museum of Art on Sunday, 3/25.

The Hirshhorn Museum will have a work of art illuminating its exterior.

About Laura

Paralegal with Master of Arts in Teaching in Museum Education, frequent museum visitor, based in Washington, DC. I care about what museums can do, both in terms of public offerings and internal practices, to make the world a better place. I blog about museum education ("informed"), the social work of museums ("humane"), and visitor experience ("citizenry").
